where did my angel baby go?

Last night was the worst night since October 15, 2008. Not once in this time has my baby been a baby that is just crying... and I hate saying just crying because I have to believe there is a reason!

Well yesterday, I pick my sweet angel baby up from the sitters... she always has a smile for mommy when I walk through the door. Our routine is as normal. We go home, she sits in the bouncy seat while I get dinner and other things done. At seven we sit down for a bottle and to watch American Idol... yes, she watches too... she likes the singing... especially Danny Gokey.

Then it happened, at 8 o'clock, someone took my sweet angel baby away and left in her spot a baby that cried for two hours and could not be soothed!! I tried everything. Hungry? Nope... even made another bottle because I thought "hmmmm, maybe she didn't get full the first time." Wet/Poopy??? Nope, just changed the ol' diaper!! It was a little warm yesterday so I thought she might be hot. Nope, cause I stripped her down to the diappy only and she was still crying. Gas??? It's possible and we got the mylicon drops just in case. I tried laying her on her belly with her head resting on the boobies (her favorite position) and patting her little butt, this usually works... Not this time! She didn't want her pacifier, she didn't want to be held, she didn't want to be laid down, she didn't want to be rocked... what the hell happened??? It finally got to the point where I had to put her in her swing and just walk away for about 10 minutes. I, of course, felt horrible for doing this~~ she is my baby after all and I hate hearing her cry. But I was on the verge of tears myself... Finally, about 10 she took 2 oz of formulay, her pacifier, and the belly boobie position and went to sleep and slept til one. Then it was up for another bottle but she went right back to sleep. Lucky for her because I couldn't!!

Then this morning, my sweet angel baby was there again! Ahhhhh, gotta love motherhood!

The joys of motherhood. Thank goodness I had wonderful babies. Okay well maybe I'm stretching the truth a tad but you get the point. I'm sure she's just a little on the spoiled side and was having an "I'm spoiled" moment.

You asked in MckMama's blog about how you take a picture where the subject is in focus but the background is blurry - so I thought I would pop over to tell you! ;)

You need to use a camera that let's you change the Aperture - using a small number Aperture, like say, f/1.4, allows a LOT of light into the lens and creates what is called a short depth of field - that is to say the front is in focus, but the background is blurry. As you increase the Aperture number i.e. the number gets bigger - say f/4, more of the background comes into focus.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reminder that I'm actually content that mine are self sufficient. I look at those baby pics and think...if only....but then posts like yours bring me back to reality.

My meowing cat makes my eyeballs go cross. I cant imagine having to deal with a crying baby like that. Bless you 100 times.

Awwww....poor wittle one, and poor you!! Girl, it was probably gas, or an upset tummy, unless she's getting an ear infection; and since she was okay this morning hopefully it's not the latter.

Jacob didn't sleep all night till he was almost 2 years old.....aww the joys....

I hope your little angel baby is here to stay and feels better!!

Good luck on getting some sleep tonight...XOXOXO

It so must have been a full moon last night or something weird like that. My lil guy was a complete monster until 1am, before he FINALLY slept. I was on the verge of calling military schools. :-) I hope your sweet angel baby stays around from now on.

Hmmm...I wonder what happened. It stinks when they can't tell you what's wrong. Glad she's better.

Probably the best thing you did was just leaving her by herself. If a baby has had too much stimulation, but is tired may just need a little crying session. I felt horrible the first time I did it, but then I realized this was the case with mine. You sound like a good mommie.

Also, about cameras, you may have a MACRO function on it (sometimes looks like a little flower) and you can use that too to get the close up shots with a blurry background.

I remember those nights. Never fun but they don't last for long either. As you well know they grow up so fast. Such a pretty baby too!

I feel your pain! I think Bryn might be teething already, b/c the past two days she's been fussier than usual. It was making me want to pull out my hair! Glad Addie was back to normal again! :)

I was thinking of teething too. Both my boys were miserable when they were teething. I think it was a great idea to leave her alone for a little bit. For you and her. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

Oh I feel your pain. Madison has days like this and I fall apart. She is always so happy so I know something is wrong when she cries! My how I hate those days.
