today's dilemma....

what is your opinion on befriending the spouse of your "best" friend's ex??? Even if it weren't a serious relationship between your friend and her ex- boyfriend, would you be friend's with his current spouse???

a quick story....

Once upon a time, there was a precious little boy with gorgeous blue eyes and the softest blonde hair. He was the light of his momma and sister's eyes! Such a sweet little baby he was...

NOW he is a preteen boy with changes going on in his body that makes his momma and his sister want to kick him in his butt on a daily basis... but we still LOVE him like there's not tomorrow...

oh wow, i finally realized....

Ya'll see this woman here ^^^^^^^??? Well I finally realized, I am NOT her!!! NO matter what I do, I can never be her as much as I tried to think I was.

I cannot change the world and there ARE limitations to what I can do for others.

Does this mean I don't care??? Of course not. Does this mean I wish ill will on others??? Nope.

It simply means that I've come to realize that I can only offer my best to myself and my immediate ONES because to do more is stretching myself thin and then I am not at my best and not better for those around me....

welcome to the world....

Here is a picture of my new nephew, Michael D’Angelo Tingle. He weighed 6 lbs 8 oz and was 20 ¾ inches long. He is doing fine. They ran a barrage of tests on him due to his momma not having prenatal tests but so far we have a thumbs up on everything. He is very alert and when I was talking to him he would just open his eyes and look like he was listening as hard as he could.

As of bedtime last night, my sister in law was still hemorrhaging and the drs were trying to get that under control. If she didn’t quit bleeding they were going to do a blood transfusion this morning.

I was the first one in the family to see this sweet boy… I was able to be in the delivery room and helped welcome him into this world. I just pray his life will be okay.

Prayers to you....

My thoughts and prayers are with Bret Michaels and his family. I sincerely hope he pulls through this.....

I can remember being a teen and listening to him and Poison. I thought they were sooo risque... ha ha... not in today's times.

And I LOVED watching Rock of Love, both seasons. While Bret is not my type, he has gorgeous eyes and is a smooth operator.

Get well soon Bret!

I miss Texas... because...

today I got an email from my cousin of pictures from the Texas hill country. For those of you who know me, you know that I grew up around this area. To me, this is HOME! Always will be. I love being there and it's hard everytime I leave.

While I did not personally take these photographs, I just had to share them with all of you. Nature in all it's beauty. I think this probably rates up in the top 5 reasons I miss Texas!!!

i really am HOMEsick!

Ms. Thang's first boat ride with Daddy

Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Northern Louisiana. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and spring... well, it was definitely in the air. We decided to take Ms. Thang for her first boat ride. She plays in there all the time when her daddy is out there messing around. She's learned how to honk the horn, she steers it and she climbs everywhere but she's never been in it while it was in the water... until yesterday...

Getting the boat ready for the river:

Life jackets must be on at all times while in the boat:

Daddy even let her "drive" the boat:

And of course, we had to bring big brother with us:

this is why she loves her daddy sooooo much:
