Funky mood Friday

Ugh, it has been raining for two days straight. Although we desperately needed the rain, I don't think we needed two days worth. You see the rain makes me want to stay at home, on the couch, cuddled under a comforter with the soaps on. Not that I really watch them but I turn them on while I nap. But of course, I have to work instead which causes me to be extremely lazy at work. I so do NOT want to be here today.

The week as a whole has flown by. Today has drug on though. I'm ready to go home. Not that I'll be glad to be at home, just be glad that I'm not at work. I may even go home and grab a nap for a couple of hours and then get up and clean or something. After all, it's Friday and I don't have to get up early tomorrow. Thank goodness.

The hubby is working a shut down which means I have to go home and pick up kids from day care then go feed horses! In the rain!!! And it's cold. Okay, I just got over bronchitis and am worried about getting sick again from working in the cold rain.

Not much planned for the weekend since it's not going to be a nice weekend. But since I got a new camera, I plan on playing around with it and seeing what all it will do. I took a few pics of Addy last night. Nothing spectacular but dang, she's awful cute.

My friend, Danielle, scolded me today for taking too many pics of Addy and not of my other two children. I reminded her that my 16 yr old hates to have her pics done now that she has braces and my son is often in his own little world. But I promised that I would get some of them this weekend so warning for pictures coming Monday.

Hope you all have a good weekend.!

Wordful Wednesday - Rah, Rah, Ree

If you want to join the fun, head on over to Angie's page @ 7ClownCircus ..... Enjoy!!!

These pics were taken last year at my daughter's cheer camp! The Red River High Bulldogs brought home the award of most spirited team. Go 'dawgs! As a parent, I was very proud. This is Becca's second year on the varsity squad and she is a sophmore! Whoo hoo. The girls also brought home some other awards. So, I present a group pic with our awesome mascot, Spike/Chelsea and then one of my kiddos... Becca and Blake. Yea, sorry, no Ms. Addy this time. She was still incubating... lol

where did my angel baby go?

Last night was the worst night since October 15, 2008. Not once in this time has my baby been a baby that is just crying... and I hate saying just crying because I have to believe there is a reason!

Well yesterday, I pick my sweet angel baby up from the sitters... she always has a smile for mommy when I walk through the door. Our routine is as normal. We go home, she sits in the bouncy seat while I get dinner and other things done. At seven we sit down for a bottle and to watch American Idol... yes, she watches too... she likes the singing... especially Danny Gokey.

Then it happened, at 8 o'clock, someone took my sweet angel baby away and left in her spot a baby that cried for two hours and could not be soothed!! I tried everything. Hungry? Nope... even made another bottle because I thought "hmmmm, maybe she didn't get full the first time." Wet/Poopy??? Nope, just changed the ol' diaper!! It was a little warm yesterday so I thought she might be hot. Nope, cause I stripped her down to the diappy only and she was still crying. Gas??? It's possible and we got the mylicon drops just in case. I tried laying her on her belly with her head resting on the boobies (her favorite position) and patting her little butt, this usually works... Not this time! She didn't want her pacifier, she didn't want to be held, she didn't want to be laid down, she didn't want to be rocked... what the hell happened??? It finally got to the point where I had to put her in her swing and just walk away for about 10 minutes. I, of course, felt horrible for doing this~~ she is my baby after all and I hate hearing her cry. But I was on the verge of tears myself... Finally, about 10 she took 2 oz of formulay, her pacifier, and the belly boobie position and went to sleep and slept til one. Then it was up for another bottle but she went right back to sleep. Lucky for her because I couldn't!!

Then this morning, my sweet angel baby was there again! Ahhhhh, gotta love motherhood!

For my first giveaway, I'm giving away 6 mini bread loaf pans. They are ceramic and are mustard, orange, and green... I am not a baker, so I don't use them and they shouldn't be just sitting there gathering dust. I'm at work so I don't have a picture of them but they are similar to these:

You have three ways to enter:
1. Leave a comment
2. Become a follower... be sure to leave a comment and let me know you're following
3. Mention me in your blog and include a link back to me!

p.s. feel free to browse around my site and enjoy reading about how hectic life is...

OH YEA! Contest will end Friday, March 13th in honor of the "lucky" day!

****UPDATE**** here is the pic of what the actual pans look like. My mother took these and told me to be sure to let you all know that the yellow one is sitting on a saucer, not a dinner plate. So when I say mini, I mean mini... LOL... Contest is still open and I'll announce the winner on Monday! Thanks!

Not Me Monday - nothing in particular

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I did NOT have a very bad week last week where to me it seemed as if nothing went right.

I did NOT get entirely aggravated because all I want is one night of sleep and I can't seem to get that.

I did NOT take my 16 yr old to get her driver's license and I did NOT sweat the whole time she was gone in my tahoe. And I was so NOT proud of her for passing.

I did NOT resort to cans of Beanie Weenies this weekend to feed the smaller children because they are too picky and don't want to eat anything I fix.

I did NOT get up Saturday morning with every intention of spending the day busy, cleaning house and so forth. I did NOT end up spending the day on the couch sleeping instead.

I did NOT call Becca a million and two times while she was out of town this weekend at a ball tourney. I'm so NOT over protective like that!

Blake did NOT attempt to crawl over a fence and instead get a seven inch scratch all the way down his leg that looks like someone took a knife and tried to cut him. He's way too smart to do something like that and doesn't act like a boy at all. (yea right)

I did NOT have to go to the doctor last week because I had bronchitis and a double ear infection. There is NO way I would get sick after spending all winter taking care of sick kids. I'm much to strong for all that.

I do NOT love sitting and holding hands with my baby. She does NOT try to eat my hands now when I hold her.

I do NOT want a new camera because I think mine sucks! And I did NOT remind hubs that our anniversary is coming up on April 1st! I would in NO way throw subtle hints like that.

I did NOT have to make myself an eye appointment for this week so that I can go get glasses. After all, I've known for years I have issues with my sight. I so would've taken care of that by now.

I did NOT repeatedly wish several times this past week that I could go to Lala Land because it's very peaceful and serene there. Maybe a trip should be coming up.

Hubs and I did NOT go to eat at Applebee's yesterday. He would NOT suggest taking me to lunch after being cooped up in the house with all the kids this past weekend. He tends to NOT be thoughtful like that.

He did NOT insist on going to Cavender's and getting boots for Ms. Addy.

And I did NOT take pictures just because over the weekend. And I did NOT post them throughout this blog just so you would have to look at them. And I do NOT appreciate it at all that you understand that I have an obsession with pics of the kiddos and other things.

Enjoy!

Spring is in the air!

Imagine the joy I felt when I was able to go outside on Saturday and not be freezing! And noticed signs of spring!!!

It was great to see things blooming in my yard. And then my hubs decided to do some yard work. If I've never mentioned before, the smell of fresh cut grass is one of my favorite smells. Reminds me of my childhood and my pawpaw mowing the yard!!!

I love spring!!!

I'm a featured reader... go check it out

Good Monday morning everyone! Hope your weekend was nice and "springy".

This morning I bring you great news! I'm a featured reader over at Kristen's site. Go check it out!

While you're there be sure to leave a comment about the post! Just let Kristen know you were there.

Also, check out her cute jewelry! She's pretty awesome at this stuff! This is my favorite and I'm doing my best to get it. Becca and I used to say this to one another when she was small... now she's too big to say it to me. :(

So head on over here and give everything a look!!!

he could be my hero.....

Ladies and gentelman, I'd like to take a moment to introduce you to my nephew, Shawn. He is my sister's youngest child. He is one of the sweetest boys I know. He has spent several years in karate but has recently been burned out on it and wants to take a break. I was heart broken. I've promised him the moment he gets his black belt, I would drive to Houston and be there for that!

He is quite the opposite of my son. Shawn tends to be quiet and reserved for the most part. He is smart (Blake is too)! The girls tend to be the only ones to give us trouble.

But don't let this sweet face fool you. He can be a firecracker (he gets that from his mom). He has called his sister the "p" word, he has run away from home, he shot his grandma's shed up with the paintball gun after he was told not to, and there are several other incidents my sister has informed me of. Of course, it's hard for his Lala to believe any of this cause he will always be my sweet little Shawn-Shawn.

I love you man!
