Happy New Year 2009!
Another year is upon us as we bid farewell to 2008, and what a year it was. Let's see, in 2008 I had medical tests run where they thought I had Celiac Sprue, I moved back home, my daughter turned 16, I became a new mother again, and I became a foster parent to three more kids. Wow!!! Makes you wonder what 2009 has in store for me.
I was going to spend New Year's sitting at home with all the kids and would've probably been in bed by 10 but my wonderful sister-in-law shoots me an email on Wednesday saying that they are coming into town and we are going to do something!! Okay....
So, here comes the Tingle clan from Texas! We decide that we are going to go to the little bar down the road that a friend of our's owns. No big shin dig at all. There was a band and for a small country bar I guess they'll do. But when they attempted to sing George Strait's "troubador", I was crushed because they totally screwed up his song and he deserves so much better! Hell, Shawn did a better job singing John Anderson's "swinging".... and he just owns a transmission shop and a bar!!! lol... :)
It was nice to ring in the New Year's with family and friends. Christina and I have been through alot together, we've had our ups and downs, but I think deep down we both know we will always be there for each other and for each other's kids!!! We had a great time even though me, Christina, and Jojo drank wayyyyyyyy too much! Can't decide what did me in, the shots of Tequila rose, the Grey Goose and Cranberry, or the jello shots they started giving away for free. Wonder what was in those things???? My guess is going to be tequila. Whatever it was I have officially made my resolution as to not drink that much again this year!
Yesterday was mainly spent recuperating. Didn't have a real bad hangover. Just a nagging headache and was really tired. Wanted a damn meat pie thanks to Christina screaming for one when we were on our way home the other night... lol. Finally got my bedroom clean were you can see the floor. Ms. Addy has entirely too many clothes and blankets... she's so spoiled rotten... and i had nothing to do with that! Even cooked dinner last night for the family. Deer steak, wild rice, peas, and mashed potatoes. And all the kids actually ate!!! It was a new year miracle...
Today it's back to work and looking forward to the New Year! I hope each of you enjoyed the dawning of a new day and new year. Peace to all!

Hey thanks for checking out my blog. Gary Allan is awesome. I remember a few years back when I saw the video for Smoke Rings in the Dark. I said this guy is cool I wanted to go out and puy a pin stripe suit haha. I'm fairly new to the whole blogging game and was curious if you could tell me how you cam across my blog? It will help me as I try to promote it.
Take care,
Zack
