welcome to the world....

Here is a picture of my new nephew, Michael D’Angelo Tingle. He weighed 6 lbs 8 oz and was 20 ¾ inches long. He is doing fine. They ran a barrage of tests on him due to his momma not having prenatal tests but so far we have a thumbs up on everything. He is very alert and when I was talking to him he would just open his eyes and look like he was listening as hard as he could.

As of bedtime last night, my sister in law was still hemorrhaging and the drs were trying to get that under control. If she didn’t quit bleeding they were going to do a blood transfusion this morning.

I was the first one in the family to see this sweet boy… I was able to be in the delivery room and helped welcome him into this world. I just pray his life will be okay.

Prayers to you....

My thoughts and prayers are with Bret Michaels and his family. I sincerely hope he pulls through this.....

I can remember being a teen and listening to him and Poison. I thought they were sooo risque... ha ha... not in today's times.

And I LOVED watching Rock of Love, both seasons. While Bret is not my type, he has gorgeous eyes and is a smooth operator.

Get well soon Bret!

I miss Texas... because...

today I got an email from my cousin of pictures from the Texas hill country. For those of you who know me, you know that I grew up around this area. To me, this is HOME! Always will be. I love being there and it's hard everytime I leave.

While I did not personally take these photographs, I just had to share them with all of you. Nature in all it's beauty. I think this probably rates up in the top 5 reasons I miss Texas!!!

i really am HOMEsick!

Ms. Thang's first boat ride with Daddy

Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Northern Louisiana. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and spring... well, it was definitely in the air. We decided to take Ms. Thang for her first boat ride. She plays in there all the time when her daddy is out there messing around. She's learned how to honk the horn, she steers it and she climbs everywhere but she's never been in it while it was in the water... until yesterday...

Getting the boat ready for the river:

Life jackets must be on at all times while in the boat:

Daddy even let her "drive" the boat:

And of course, we had to bring big brother with us:

this is why she loves her daddy sooooo much:

our easter 2010

this year for easter, we spent it in Longview with my brother and sister in law and their children. we fried fish. I even conquered the task of making homemade hush puppies.. i must say, they were awful yummy. Ms. Thang did not care much about hunting eggs. she did, however, want the candy out of the plastic ones. It was a nice weekend. Always hate leaving there. And here are a few pics for your enjoyment.

growing up too fast

While doing my niece's senior pics this weekend, I realized that all my girls are growing up way to fast. Kristin (my niece) will graduate in 2 months, my Becca will graduate next year and my baby girl is not going to be a baby much longer. this makes me a little sad.... okay, a LOT sad!!!

While I'm no professional at photography, I don't think I did too bad of a job... what do you think???

R.I.P Corey....

My first love... Corey Haim. Oh how I had the hugest crush on him when I was a young girl. Posters everywhere. I don't think you could see an inch of wall, not even a speck. I watched his movies faithfully. Probably could have recited THE LOST BOYS from heart. I had pretty much convinced myself that if we could ever meet, he would be the man I would marry......

But life moves along and we grow up and childhood crushes aren't so prevelant. Yet as an adult, everytime I saw a picture of Corey or watched a movie with him in it I remembered a childhood "love" and a young girl's dream...

Today, as I came into work, I was going thru my normal morning routine and saw the tragic news.... COREY HAIM, FOUND DEAD @ 38 ... APPARENT DRUG OVERDOSE

I am deeply saddened by this and will even admit that I've shed several tears today. I don't want to read anymore stories, look at anymore pictures, watch anymore clips... I want to remember that giddy feeling from my childhood.

Too soon life is taken away from us and too easily temptation befall us. Rest in Peace my dear Corey for you will always hold a special place in my memories...
